You Stay Your Way. Our exciting new tour-only option
Essential Ireland Tours has introduced “You Stay Your Way”:
A flexible, accommodation-independent option available across our various tours of Ireland.
You’ll still enjoy:
the same carefully planned itinerary
all-activities included
friendly guiding and memorable small-group touring experience, while organising your own hotels or other accommodation.
You stay Your Way: Heres how it works:
Perhaps you’d like to:
use hotel loyalty points
upgrade to something luxurious
choose a more affordable hotel or Airbnb,
or simply take complete control of where you stay.
You might even prefer to stay with your in-laws in Killarney, your great-aunt Mary in Dingle or big Joe in Belfast, your second cousin twice removed! Its all good.
Simply select the tour itinerary you wish to reserve, for example our flagship '11 Day All Ireland Tour', when you are ready to click on 'book now' you selct the package called “You Stay, Your Way” to reserve the Tour only option!
Whatever your reason, “You Stay, Your Way” gives you greater freedom over your accommodation while still allowing you to experience the very best of Ireland with Essential Ireland Tours.
We’ll gladly advise you on suitable hotels and locations...
so that you can easily walk or taxi to your accomodation choice on arrival evening and departure morning , and meet your fellow group members each day at the designated tour hotel, which is always a centrally located 4 star hotel*.
Note: Our regular tours always stay in 4 star hotels, but for those intrepid travelers who prefer to sleep in 5 star hotels we should mention that our regular tour often upgrades to a 5 star hotel anyway. For example in Belfast, our designated tour hotel is the famous 4 star Europa Hotel right in the very middle of town, but on occasion we get upgraded or choose to pay for the
upgrade to their sister hotel, the 5 star Grand Central Hotel, which is 1 block away. An example of this was in August 2026, when our founder and chief guide Stephen McPhilemy, led the our 5 Day True North tour to Northern Ireland & Donegal, which coincided with the Fleadh, and meant our tour-guests could enjoy a luxry stay and also the biggest traditional Irish music festival of all right on our doorstep.
*except on Castles & Classics Tour, and in Dingle, where, if its available, we try to always to treat our groups to a memorable stay at Milltown House our very own charming 15 bedroom Guesthouse on Dingle Bay; because of its beautiful setting, abundance of experiences on offer and so tour-guests can meet our gentle-giant Irish wolfhound pack!
'Your Stay Your Way' accommodation option is no ot available on our CASTLES & CLASSICS Tour.
Our 'Castles & Classics' tour stays in Ashford Castle for example which has just won the worlds most luxurious hotel award, to add to its already burgeoning collection of awards.
