Rubia & I enjoyed every minute of the annual ball of the ‘Donegal Association Dublin’ and the highlight was celebrating our friend (and one of my Lifford Gaelic Football mentors) Packie Keeney, collecting his ‘Donegal Person of the Year’ award.

It was as great to spend time with, and introduce Rubia, to some of the many great characters from my youth.

My great-Uncle Charlie McGinley devoted much of his life to the Association and I hope to get involved now too.

We laughed, joked and danced; and the grand finale of “We’ve got the world tonight” by Mickey Joe Harte always brings happiness
